Thanks for the invitation to the roundtable on “The New MFF and Defense Investment” organised by @EUPerspectives. Defence is a sensitive area, but that does not mean a blank cheque. We still need clear rules, audits, oversight, checks on conflicts of interest, and transparency regarding final beneficiaries. Corruption in defence is a security risk. Every wasted euro means less ammunition, fewer air defence systems, and weaker protection for our citizens. I support faster procedures, but not weaker control.
