Europe’s defence is no longer confined to land, air, and sea. Space has become a critical domain for our security. 🛰️ I was pleased to speak at the European Defence & Security Summit in the panel “From Orbits to Operations: Making EU Space Assets Deliver for Defence Readiness 2030.” We discussed how Europe can better leverage its space capabilities to strengthen defence readiness, improve resilience, and ensure that programmes such as Galileo, Copernicus, and IRIS² effectively support our security needs. A stronger Europe requires not only capable armed forces, but also secure satellite communications, reliable intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies.
